Here's a quick explanation of the sections you'll find in your profile and an overview of the best way to fill them in. 

Summary

This is the first thing we see on your profile so make it sing! Tell us what you're proud of, what you're good at and the most important things we should know about you.

Include as many skills as you can so you're at the top of the results lists in searches and so that you can be found more easily. 

We value transparency as it helps us understand exactly who you are faster. Include your rate and preferred work location so you're only contacted for the opportunities that match your expectations and don't waste your time reviewing unsuitable opportunities.

Don't forget to attach your CV so that Hiring Managers have access to more information about you if they need it right away. 

Experience

You don't have to spend ages listing out everything you've ever done - rather, just add the most recent to relevant experiences that match up with where you'd like to take your career. 

Add in the achievements you're proud of and you can even attach a document or project to help showcase your work at it's best. 

If you learned a new skill or got to utilise an old one make sure you add it in. 

Learning

It might have been a while ago but adding in your qualifications helps paint a picture of who you really are from where your career journey started out to all of the new skills you've acquired along the way. 

Maybe you did a really interesting course on illustration in your spare time. It may not seem relevant but actually, a design agency you did some work for a while back need someone to help add some colour to a pitch and you would be perfect!

Goals

It's great to be happy where you are but where do you see yourself at retirement? What would you have loved to explore? 

Here's the place to showcase that. Talk about your dream company, the things you wish you were better at or the new stuff you're dying to get good at. 

By sharing this information with the business you make sure that the next time they're looking to upskill their people in those areas, you're top of the list!

Credentials

Having to vet people in areas like a security clearance is a pain - but if you've already been cleared, you're an even more desirable match for the business. Flag that here!

Preferences 

Here's the place where we get down to the nitty gritty - we want to know logistics like when we can work with you and where. An important area to keep up to date so that you can move to a new city or offer some spare time to collaborate on an exciting new project.
